What do you enjoy most about working at DDL & Co. in St. Catharines?

What I cherish most about working at DDL is the strong sense of camaraderie within our team. We’re not just colleagues; we’re a close-knit group who support each other. From fun activities during work hours like Halloween and Christmas celebrations to bonding events outside of work, we’ve built lasting connections.

Moreover, my journey here has been personally fulfilling. I started as a new CPA and have grown to become a partner. This firm has provided incredible growth opportunities, and I’m excited about the continued journey ahead with this amazing team.

Why did you choose an accounting career?

The most important thing to me about being an accountant is the opportunity it provides to make a meaningful impact on individuals and businesses. From a young age, I excelled at math, and my parents, who themselves had successful careers in the accounting field, encouraged me to explore this field. What attracted me most was the way accounting combines mathematical precision with the ability to offer financial guidance, helping clients navigate complex financial landscapes and make informed decisions. Being an accountant allows me to not only apply my mathematical skills but also to build relationships, solve problems, and contribute to the financial well-being of others. It’s a rewarding profession that aligns with my strengths and values, making it a natural and fulfilling choice.

When I’m not working, I enjoy embarking on thrilling adventures around the globe. My passion for travel has led me to visit a wide range of destinations, including Italy, France, Iceland, England, Kenya, and Thailand.  Whether I’m relaxing on a tranquil beach or exploring the hidden gems of a new city, I find joy in immersing myself in diverse cultures and creating unforgettable experiences.

Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups are my all-time favourite chocolate bar, I can’t resist anything with peanut butter.
