COVID-19

March 17, 2020

As the developments involving the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) continue to evolve, we continue to monitor and implement recommendations from local, national and global health organizations.  DiPaola DiPietro & Little Professional Corporation (DDL & Co.) remains committed to dealing with this crisis in a manner which ensures the health and safety of all individuals including our team, clients and families.

In response to the current situation, we are taking the following measures;

WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE THE USE OF OUR CLIENT PORTAL (https://ddl.cchifirm.ca/clientportal/) for delivery of any documentation that is required.  This is the MOST effective means of minimizing contact.  Your tax documents are securely uploaded and available for us to begin processing immediately.  Completed returns can also be uploaded for your review and validated with electronic signature.  Payments can be sent electronically.  If you have not registered for a portal account, please reply to this email and we will have a portal account setup.  If you need help with setting up, accessing or uploading documents, please call the office and we will be happy to help.

Emailing your documents continues to be an option, though it is not as secure as the client portal.  If you choose to send us your tax documents electronically, we encourage you to password protect any file with confidential information.  You can securely share the password using this website - https://privnote.com/.

Effective immediately, only staff will be permitted in to the office.  We understand that electronic delivery is not an option for everybody, so we have setup a process to securely drop off any documentation.  Please use the mail slot at the Ontario Street front entrance of our office.  We will hold on to this documentation for a minimum 48 hour period before it is handled by our staff.  Please ensure your documents are securely sealed and clearly identified.

Our staff has been instructed to stay away from the office for at least 14 days if they do not feel well, show symptoms of the virus, have been out of the country in the last 14 days, or have come in to contact with anyone in this situation.

Our staff is taking the necessary precautions internally to minimize contact and maintain social distancing when discussion is necessary.  Internal phone discussions are the preferred method of contact when required.

We will continue to monitor this evolving situation and provide regular updates.  We have contingency plans in place should a temporary closure of the office be required, with professionals continuing to be accessible and delivering required services to our clients.  We kindly ask for your patience as we all navigate the challenges ahead of us.

Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions you may have.
